What's happening at LutraID.

Europe is entering a new era of trusted digital identity, where individuals will use EUDI Wallets to securely receive and share identity data and digital credentials across borders. Under the European Digital Identity Framework, each EU Member State must provide at least one EUDI Wallet by the end of 2026. LutraID serves as a gateway for businesses to this infrastructure, enabling them to verify identity data, issue trusted digital credentials, and integrate wallet-based authentication without developing complex identity infrastructure in-house. As the ecosystem evolves, LutraID will also support European Business Wallets for legal entities.

Between 8 and 12 June 2026, we participated in the EUDIW Unfold #3.1 testing week as part of the France Identité ecosystem. As the first (and only) Slovenian company involved, we tested our solution in real-world interoperability scenarios with wallets, issuers, and verifiers from across Europe - with a strong focus on Age Verification and PID Verification.

EU citizens will first experience the EUDI Wallet through a familiar “Login with EUDI” button on digital platforms by the end of 2026, allowing secure, selective sharing of verified personal data directly from their mobile wallet — with no new accounts needed.
